Check your calendars! Raid tryouts this coming tuesday at 7pm server time. You need not be 85 to attend though this will be the chance to hone strategy and raid synergy.
We will be running old content and you must be at least 80 to attend. You do not have to be fully geared! This is a practice run. Come have fun with the guild!

This is what was discussed at the Raid Discussion meeting on 2/22/11... 1) We decided to do another WOTLK raid called Ice Crown Citadel on Tuesday (3/1). - ICC was one of the earlier "end game" raids for WOTLK. Considering this, it will most likely be difficult to get through even with Cataclysm gear due to mechanics.
- It would be best to do some of your own research about the encounters if you want to progress well in the raid. You can find plenty of information on the encounters online. This same process should be used for Cataclysm raids if you're interested in those as well. Which leads to our next topic.
2) During the week of either 3/8 - 3/14, or 3/15 - 3/21, we will be starting Cataclysm content. - We will most likely begin in Blackwing Descent, but that is up to Escucheon, our amazing Raid Leader. Look for the events on the calendar.
- Again, research the fights if you're interested in going. We will all be new to the encounters, so time and lots of patience are necessities. Understand that with progression comes toon deaths. Fortunately, we will try developing a good system to pay for repair costs.
- Be prepared and on time to events! This is a courtesy to your fellow guildies. Some have jobs. Some have bedtimes. Some have families to tend to. Please be courteous and get to the raid prepared and on time. Should you expect to be late, let someone know if possible.
- Generally, invites will begin 15 minutes before the scheduled event time.
3) Old content raiding. Much of the guild wants to do old content for achievements. I, personally, will be mainly focused on Cataclysm Content. However, I am glad to do old content in spare time or off-raid days. - The best way to get these started is to tell Taty or an officer, especially Escucheon, what you want to do. They can organize the event either immediately picking up people that are online and willing, or for a future date by posting the event on the calendar.
- Again and still, DO RESEARCH.
4) Lastly, Know Your Class. It's fine if you're new to the game or just a casual player. But, if you are going to raid, please bring your A game. - Plenty of information is posted about classes and you can always ask your fellow guildies of the same class for advice on improving your character. Whether it be gear stats to go for, rotation/priority for dps/tank/healer, or even talent choices, please use your resources.
This may seem like a lot to take in. But summed up, know: where you are going, what you are doing, and how you are going to do it. All it takes is a little reading and maybe a video or two. GOOD LUCK ALL! See you come raid time! - Represent
